Lime Plastering and Stucco Workshop

Lime is one of the most prominent materials in the history of the art of construction. It is the most ancient known to man and there is evidence of its use eight thousand years ago.

All cultures such as the Egyptians, Greeks, Romans and Arabs have used this material. With the passing of time, the techniques and the wide diversity of finishes have been increased and developed which has helped to improve the quality of the decoration to the facades of buildings.

Lime was traditionally use as a cementing agent to give strength and composure to walls as well as being used as a decorative plaster. Nowadays, ninety per cent of the buildings over one hundred years old were built using lime.

Lime plastering and stuccos are the real skins of the buildings they protect. Among the benefits of using lime are its exceptional acoustic and thermal attributes which make it an irreplaceable material in the new bio-architectura and restoration of buildings.
