The use of stone by human beings is in the origin of their relationship with the art of construction.

At Mazari de Epoca we have vast knowledge of the evolution of stone, not only as an element in the history of art, but as a material with certain features, tones, colours and resistance… and which ages in a different way according to the quarry from where it originates, its location and age.

Our in-depth knoledge of stone allows us to restore antique pieces and create reproductions which accurately reflect the originals in size and proportion and above all in its traditional appearance. In order to achieve this, we select stone from the original quarries and, in the case where a quarry is no longer in use, we replace it by using another piece containing the same features.

The second step is to analyse the condition of each stone against the processes of aging and erosion and the apply the process which allows us to make the patina and erosion identical to the original.

Mazari de Epoca puts at your disposal an exclusive catalogue of reproduction pieces, classified by age, place and made up according to the wide graphical information of models in their monument context. A ground survey which is made by taking measurements and photographs enables us to reproduce and recover pieces that have already disappeared.

The cohesion of traditonal buildings with specialised structures enables us to guarantee architectural elements such as facades, columns, fountains and chimneys with heraldic shields faithful to the original models.
