History

Mazari de Epoca emerged from the cultural intersts of two enthusiasts of architecture keen to construct traditional houses using antique handcrafted and natural materials in modern day life.

Antonio Gámez and Antonio Gala founded Mazari de Epoca in 1997 as a company specialising in the recovery and restoration of construction materials to their former glory as well as in making reproductions according to the original shapes.

They started their careers marketing antique flooring and other traditional construction materials found all over Spain. Having restored these materials and returned them to their original state, they were then used to give their new homes a feeling of traditional authenticity

Mazari de Epoca owns over 25,000 sqm of workshops housings, over 40 professionals specialising in trades such as stone masonry, carpentry, forging (metal work), and stuccowork and lime plastering. They also produce itmes such as columns, fountains chimneys, doors, coffered ceilings, wood floorboards and iron fittings. Their in-depth knowledge of traditional materials and the principles which have inspired great architects through the ages has made Mazari de Epoca a market leader offering expert services and advice on the construction, design and decoration of homes using their unique style.
